This is a wool challis scarf made by the venerable firm Liberty of London.  The scarf features an atypical potted plant pattern novelty print in colours of orange, yellow, blue, aqua green, dropped-out white and black against a maroon background.  The scarf has a checked stitching in it.  I’ve shown the scarf photographed from both sides.

Age: most likely 1940s as it has an older cloth label that reads “Liberty of London Made in England” 

Size: 25 1/2” by 26”

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour.  There are two small separation spots (see last close-up photo), but this is really minor and shouldn’t bother anyone at all.

This is a rare vintage Liberty silk scarf, difficult to find Liberty of this vintage and in this fabric - unusual mid-century print, great acquisition for the Liberty collector!
